Wheeling 6-27: WHOO!!!! Good times. Bruce has some awesome places to wheel. We were all victims of the swamp. Our trucks were on their way to China. 100' of winch cable, a few chains, a couple of straps and a back hoe later, we were out. Phil and Bruce were able to climb out of the kidde pool and Flee was right there, almost making it. Flee finally found his good luck charm when Dylan jumped in as we all took a "ride around the block." Check out Flee in his video. He bounces the rear tires off the ground and knocks down a few tree limbs at the same time. Man he sure loves the gas. Bruce totally tore up the hot tub. Awesome job. Phil actually made it thru everything except the swamp. All in all, it was an AWESOME day. Thanks Bruce!!!!!
Wheeling 7-4: What a day. Phil was trying to make it out back when the front gears decided to let go. He broke the 2 small spider gears and shaved 4 teeth off the ring gear. OUCH!!! Ken made his way in with no problems. Bruce on the other hand needed a little help. Looking forward to Labor Day weekend.
Wheeling 7-19: Excellent day of slinging some mud. We tested out the new trail to make sure it is ready for future runs. Rob and Tony sure made the "Kidde Pool" and the "Around The Block" look easy. But if we all had 42" or taller tires, we all could. LOL. Everyone seemed to tear up the swamp quite well. Check out the "Creek Crossing" of Ken. Speed sure helps. Not sure if he "Skied" across or floated. No one had any "MAJOR" breakage. Think the only problem was a broken valve stem. Can't wait til next time.
Wheeling 8-23: Tearin' it up. Flee gave the front locker a good workout, especially in his "Bull Shit Pool." Blazed a few new trails and didn't break anything. Thank God!!! And low and behold, Ken got his dodge stuck. It's funny tho, cause no one was there to see him bury it, but we all made sure we were there to watch him get winched out. And would you believe it, the truck with the smallest tires was there to lend a winch rope. Bruce's place is a great place to wheel, can't wait for the next time.
Wheeling 9-3: A day for the kids. Phil, Rob, and Andrea took the boys and girl wheeling. Even Tony was there to lend a hand with getting us unstuck and running the video camera. Rob brought out "Blue" to help knock down some of the centers. Phil and his damn 35's just aren't cutting it anymore. 38.5's are in the very NEAR future.
Wheeling 9-7: Labor Day Wheeling. What a day. We all met the new guy Jim and his Jeep. What a well built machine. It took on everything we threw at it, including the drag strip. And man was the 3rd time the charm. He definitely gave new meaning to "Windows Down Wheeling." He came out of that Jeep with more mud on him. It was just pouring in the windows. Phil bolted on a set of 38.5's and still managed to get hung up. But those tires sure throw an awesome rooster tail. Tony had a few minor starting issues, but got it figured out in no time. Rob got hung up in the drag strip, and Phil busted a lockout while yanking him out. Were the 38.5's to much? NOPE!!! Just maybe a little bit too much gas pedal. Andrea was out there attempting to show us up, but Tony & Rob were right there doing everything she did so we all didn't look bad. I would like to thank everyone that lended a hand video taping all of us out there. We all appreciate it. Can't wait till next year.
MUD FEST 9-13: 300' of nasty, sticky, soupy mud. Definitely had to pick the right line, cause if you didn't, you slowed down in a hurry. Something went wrong with Dylan's truck. We couldn't get the 4 wheel drive to engage, so he was stuck with a 2WD truck. He still managed to take third place though. Good for him. Phil ran in the MOD 1 class with about 30 other trucks and was able to nail down a 3rd place finish as well. A couple of the wins were total blow outs. Some of the other finishes were extremely close. Special thanks goes out to the family and friends who were there to support us, especially to Jeff Wilson, who trailered Phil's truck to the competition. THANKS AGAIN!!!!!
